The Untouchables

Synopsis: The critics and public agree. Brian DePalma’s The Untouchables is a must see masterpiece – a glorious, fierce, larger-than-life depiction of the mob warlord who ruled Prohibition-era Chicago…and the law enforcer who vowed to bring him down.

This classic confrontation between good and evil stars Kevin Costner as federal agent Eliot Ness, Robert DeNiro as gangland kingpin Al Capone and Sean Connery as Malone, the cop who teaches Ness how to beat the mob: shoot fast and shoot first.

The Untouchables 8.5

It may not be a masterpiece by my book, but it’s one of the great mob-related movies. Despite Kevin Costner tongue

I’ve probably seen this movie way too many times at this point (even though it’s been years since I last saw it, last night I could see every scene unfold ahead of time), but I remember the feeling that I got the first few viewings and I was on the edge of my seat the whole way through.

If you haven’t seen this one yet, you should. It’s not in the same league as Goodfellas and The Godfather, but it’s way up there smile

What do you think?
