Truth Or Dare 8.5
To me, this is what ‘This is it’ was supposed to be: an in-depth appreciation of what goes on behind the scenes on a major tour, including exciting concert footage along the way!
In ‘Truth or Dare’, Madonna peels away the layers -and not just in a literal way- at a time when she was probably the biggest pop star around (sorry MJ!). We get to see her childish behaviour and demands, but we also get to see the mothering and giving side of her as well. It also shows a consummate professional at work, still learning to balance her personal and professional needs at one of the most demanding period of her life.
And, if one is a fan of her music and/or shows, there is plenty to satiate even the most demanding – because there is a bevy of complete show-stoppers from the concerts themselves, with full complement at their best. Truly, ‘Truth or Dare’ is quite a show!
