Synopsis: Is It Really Love At First Sight?
Perhaps the real attraction is his six-figure income, the sound of his voice…or even his smell. Maybe it’s not so much about her stellar values, but more about her being a “perfect 10.” Perhaps it’s chemistry rather than love that brings us together and drives us apart. Do concepts such as “romance” and “soul mate” actually deserve the power we’ve given them when it comes to choosing the right mate?
In this probing documentary, The Science of Sex Appeal examines how genetics, hormones and neurological factors influence our sexual attraction levels to one another. Scientists unlock the mysteries of flirting, physical attraction, promiscuity, biology and the unique qualities that make sex appeal one of the most powerful — and passionate — of all human experiences.

An insightful documentary about how sights, sounds, smells affect sex appeal. It goes so far as to explain the biochemistry involved and where the tools we use for choosing mates originate from.
It’s a decently-paced 90 minutes, and a fairly informative one at that. I’d recommend it to anyone interested in knowing what makes us tick (or makes us drool, as the case may be).
