Being Light 5.0
I’m not really sure what the filmmaker intended with this film, the closing piece of his so-called ‘FreeTrilogy’. On the one hand, I can see the “Spirit” motif in this film (“Lovers” was Love; “Too Much Flesh” was Sex), but he tossed together with this terribly awkward comedy that neither comes off right nor mixes up correctly with the story.
It was entertaining in its own way, and the time didn’t completely crawl by like the first film had. But it was hardly an experience I”d wish to revisit; it’s far too disjointed and incoherent to bother. When I watch a movie like this one, all I can think is: so the director was looking at this and confidently thought he had a winner? He couldn’t see all the glaring flaws?
Well, I couldn’t get past the imperfections. Enough said.
