Darkman III: Die Darkman Die

Synopsis: One fights for justice. The other for power. Only one can survive.

Arnold Vosloo returns as Dr. Peyton Westlake, a.k.a. Darkman, the crime-fighting master of disguises. In this action-packed adventure, Westlake matches wits with underworld drug-dealing villain Peter Rocker (Jeff Fahey), who will do anything to unmask the secret of Westlake’s superhuman strength.

Agreeing to an experimental operation on his ravaged body, Westlake is flung into a vicious game of survival for himself, his priceless research and the lives of two innocent people. One false move and he will be locked into darkness forever.

From executive producers Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert, creators of the original film, Darkman III: Die Darkman Die, like its predecessors, is jam-packed with surprises, staggering special effects and never-ending thrills.

Darkman III: Die Darkman Die 3.25

Ten things that I learned by watching the ‘Darkman’ sequels:

1. Wearing a mask is all you need to impersonate someone and fool their closest, dearest peeps.

2. Wearing a mask is like becoming a chameleon; it will even adjust your height and body mass for you.

3. You can learn to imitate someone’s voice by listening to a recording of it and repeating it.

4. Scientists are all independently weatlhy and can afford expensive equipment – and they can find it anywhere (possibly even at Radio Shack!)

5. Scientists never back up their scientific data, so it’s easily lost. Also, a lifetime of research can also easily fit on a 3.5″ disquette (remember those?)

6. There are underground tunnels under the city, complete with personal railway, that no one uses or will find.

7. Barrels explode when shot – and rocket straight into the air.

8. Anyone can hotwire a car. And it’s so easy that it can be done in seconds, while being chased by a pack of dangerous goons.

9. Reusing the same footage over and over again is intended to bring a warm glow of familiarity to the audience – not give the impression of creative deficit.

10. There is, and always will be, one ‘Darkman’!!!
