Friday the 13th (1980) 6.5

I’m not a big fan of the series, but, since there won’t be another Friday the 13th until next January, I just had to put this on 😉

Amazingly, I had forgotten the first quarter of the film, despite having seen it a few times in my life. And the scares, although predictable, actually caught me off guard from time to time.

It does have its share of discrepancies, though, so one has to have a healthy suspension of disbelief. And it doesn’t offer much that remains fresh in this day and age, as it’s hardly the best of its genre.

Still, it remains decent enough for what it is.

What do you think?
