Steve McQueen : The Essence of Cool 7.5

It’s hard to cover a person’s whole life -or even just their career- in about ninety mins, but this documentary does a swell job of it. In fact, it’s one of the better ones that I’ve seen this year: you get a good sense of who Steve McQueen was even if you don’t get as many details as a print biography would provide.

I bought ‘Bullit’ in large part because of this special feature. So, while I’ve seen better, I’m pretty pleased with it in the end. I’d recommend it for anyone interested in the actor, his films and/or cinema in general; it capture the essence of one of Hollywood’s most captivating characters.
