Road To Perdition 8.0

I’m wavering: 8.5 seems too generous in light of a couple of blatant editing/continuity issues and a minor pacing problem midway through. But 8.0 seems a bit low considering the overall quality of this film.

I mean… the story, the script, the direction, the acting, …etc., it’s pretty much all top-notch. And who can argue with a cast like this one (gosh… Paul Newman was terrific here!)? Now I want to read the graphic novel – to see the origin of this marvelous piece of work. I’ll go request it from the OPL right now, in fact smile

Suffice it to say that it was a long time coming and I’m glad that I saw it. And it’s a great way to finally finish off my mob movie mania. I think that I’ve borderline overdosed, though – I’m not really the mob-type, usually. But, overall, it was a fun ride.

Many thanks to ‘Public Enemies’ for getting the ball rolling laughing
